Along with Lufthansa, the Star Alliance partner airlines - Air Canada, Austrian Airlines, Asiana and United have set up town offices and administrative units in the BLC.

Crane and Nature Protection

In its Environmental Sponsorship Programme, Lufthansa has been committed for more than thirty years to protecting the crane and its habitats at national and international level. Within the international “Living Lakes“ project, designed to protect lakes and wetlands on all five continents, it is also backing nature conservation in China.

The eleventh Living Lakes Conference is taking place in Nanchang near China’s Lake Poyang from 9 October to 3 November 2006. It is the first international gathering called to discuss measures to protect lakes and water quality, avian flu and agriculture in this region.
